The Soul Revival band blends expressive gospel music with emotive blues, New Orleans funeral refrains, and original songs. Jonathan “Dr. Sax” Lorentz helms the power trio, which features Hammond B3 organ and drums. Their album Proximity (featuring Delfeayo Marsalis) will be released in 2014 on the UK’s Métier Jazz record label.
