Back by popular demand for all those who didn't make it to the sold-out show last year! "On Golden Pond" Oscar winner Ernest Thompson and Lakes Region legend Ray Porcell present an evening of new songs and favorites from last year's sold-out show. With special guests Randy Roos and Sparky Elbaum.
Ray Porcell is a singer/songwriter transplanted from New York City to New Hampshire. Ernest Thompson needs no introduction to NH audiences as he is the Oscar-winning screenwriter of, “On Golden Pond,” the iconic movie of the eighties which starred Katharine Hepburn and Henry Fonda. The movie won three Oscars and helped to put the lakes region of NH on the map of ‘must see’ places in America.
Ray has performed in New England in several different bands and as a solo artist. Recently he and Ernest Thompson have collaborated to produce a group of songs which have been recorded on Ray's CD "The Journey Goes On". One of those song's "Wishes" has been featured in the movie "Time and Charges" which was filmed around the Newfound Lake region including some scenes in our venue, The Back Room. Ray's CD's include "The Parlour Band" with Joe Droukas, "Pieces Of The Puzzle", and his latest, "The Journey Goes On". This event will feature Ernest and Ray discussing and playing the songs from Ray’s latest CD.
